'Titled 'The Mediterranean Diet and its Influence in Mental Well-Being' (IRB#201802343) this research project explored the relationship between adherence to the Mediterranean diet and depression. Earlier studies have highlighted a link between an unhealthy diet and a higher risk of depression. Results from this study indicate a moderate inverse relationship between Mediterranean Diet adherence and depressive symptomatology, suggesting that diet may serve as a protective factor against depressive symptoms.

The study titled 'Qualitative Examination of Sex Therapists' Perspectives Regarding Women with Low Sexual Desire' (STUDY002135) aimed to explore how sex therapists understand and utilize their perceptions of female sexual desire disorder to guide diagnosis, treatment, and patient evaluation. The findings unveiled a reciprocal relationship between belief systems and cultural context, shaping sex therapists' views on low desire and their patients' sexual perspectives, and highlighted misinformation and stigma as key factors influencing a negative perception of low sexual desire. Results suggest that comprehensive, inclusive, and sex-positive education could play a pivotal role in rectifying faulty belief systems that influence sexual desire.
